How Feltide handles
your information.
Your journal belongs on your device. Feltide does not require an account or send your journal to a cloud service.
Last updated September 9, 2026 · Runeworks LLC
The short version: health entries stay in encrypted storage on your iPhone. Purchases, support emails and visits to this website involve separate information. Our Consumer Health Privacy Notice describes health information in more detail.
Your journal
Feltide stores your check-ins, daily recaps, symptom episodes, notes, medicine schedules and dose records, optional body weight, tracker definitions, imported measurements and preferences in an encrypted SQLite database on your iPhone. The database key is kept in the device Keychain. We do not operate a journal server or cloud sync service, and we do not receive these records as part of normal app use.
Feltide has no third-party ads or tools that record how you use your journal. Purchase information is handled separately below. We do not sell health information, use it to target ads, or send health attributes to RevenueCat. Optional support cards advertise Feltide Pro only and are not selected using your health information.
Apple Health is optional
If you connect Apple Health, Feltide requests read access to sleep and step data. Body weight is requested only when you turn on its separate option. Feltide does not write data to Apple Health. The measurements you allow are imported into your local journal. You can manage imports in Settings under Apple Health or change access in the Health app.
You can keep using manual tracking. Apple Health imports remain separate from manual records, and you can choose a manual or Apple Health source for a day’s sleep, steps or weight value. For opted-in weight imports, Feltide keeps the latest measurement recorded on each date, stores kilograms, and displays your chosen unit. Missing or unavailable data is not treated as zero.
Reminders, device lock and widgets
Reminders use local iPhone notifications and are enabled only with your permission. Their message is general and does not include symptoms or health values. The optional journal lock uses device authentication.
Widgets receive a limited local snapshot through an iOS App Group. Journal database keys are never included. Displaying health values in a widget requires your explicit choice; a basic check-in shortcut can be used without showing health values.
Exports and encrypted backups
CSV and PDF reports are readable files. They leave the app only when you choose where to save or share them. Anyone with access to a shared report may be able to read it.
Portable backups use an independent password-derived key, AES-256-GCM encryption, and PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations. Your device database key is not included. A backup is decrypted and validated before you confirm replacing the journal.
The journal database is excluded from operating-system backups. Keep a recent encrypted backup outside Feltide before deleting the app, replacing your iPhone or changing devices. Runeworks cannot recover a lost database key or backup password. A device backup is not a substitute for Feltide’s own encrypted backup.
Feltide Pro purchases
Apple processes payments. Feltide uses RevenueCat to verify and restore the optional Pro purchase and to provide purchase-related analytics. RevenueCat can receive an anonymous app user identifier, purchase or receipt information, and store, device and network metadata associated with purchases and entitlement checks.
These purchase services do not receive your journal entries, symptoms, notes, Apple Health measurements or tracker selections. Feltide does not send advertising attribution events or health attributes to RevenueCat. You can read RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy information for their handling of information.
Support and this website
If you email hello@runeworks.io, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use that correspondence to respond and resolve support requests. Please do not send health records, backup files, passwords or payment-card information. An app version and a description of the issue are usually enough.
This website is hosted through Vercel. Serving and protecting the site can involve technical information such as your IP address, browser and the page requested. The Feltide pages do not include advertising, session replay or health tracking.
How long information is kept
Your local journal remains on your device until you delete its data or remove the app. Exported reports and backups remain where you save them until you delete those copies. Deleting a journal does not delete support email already sent or Apple’s purchase history. Contact hello@runeworks.io with questions about correspondence or a deletion request.
Your choices and deletion
Settings is organized into Your journal, Check-in reminders, Appearance, Apple Health, Backups & exports, and Privacy & support. There you can choose what to record, edit or delete entries, archive trackers, manage Apple Health and optional weight access, disable notifications, hide widget values, export records, or delete the local journal. Deleting journal data does not cancel or remove a Pro purchase.
Copies you saved or shared outside the app need to be managed separately. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete a journal on your device. For questions about support correspondence or personal-information requests, contact us at hello@runeworks.io. Do not include your journal to make a request.
Changes and contact
We may update this notice as Feltide changes. The date at the top shows which version is current. We will explain any change to how journal information is handled before introducing it.
